Our Impact
Since we started in 2009, our projects have offered the following benefits:
More than 5,600 volunteers have participated in SEGO Initiative’s Satoumi (e.g., beach cleanups) and Satoyama projects (e.g. organic farming activities) donating more than 19,280 hours and an estimated ¥25,472,500 in time and services.
Experience
Our experience help to put a central focus on the Ocean through learning and experiencing the interconnections between Ocean (Satoumi) and the Land (Satoyama) environments.
